Sumii’s hard-brushed yakisugi on Japanese sugi (Cryptomeria japonica) creates a bold, tactile surface with pronounced grain and deep shadow lines. Authentic shou sugi ban craftsmanship delivers a contemporary charred timber look that reads calm at a distance and richly textured up close.
Charred timber performance in Australia
